We had been through a tough time with our whippet who had canine dementia. Tine made what was a very difficult decision less stressful, taking the time to explain that we were doing the right thing for Wippy. She was extremely respectful and took time to get to know us and Wippy, explaining every step to us. We have had numerous dogs and can say that this was the 'best death'. Wippy slipped quietly and comfortably away. Thankyou.Posted on James WoodfordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a wonderful, caring and compassionate service this is. It was time our treasured sheltie, Toby, crossed the bridge and I was so worried about taking him to the vets as he was very scared of the place. To be able to have him take his journey from home was an absolute blessing. Tine was so caring, gentle and calm throughout the whole process, it was a fitting end for a proud boy and for us too.Posted on RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We lost our beautiful Tilley, aged 14 and a half, in June 2024. She had been diagnosed with bone carcinoma and we were told we might have around three months left with her, but in reality we only had seven days before she deteriorated. Nothing prepares you for news like that, or how quickly love turns into goodbye. Even so, Tilley was incredibly brave right to her final day. When I first spoke with Tine, she explained everything over the phone with such kindness and patience, and reassured me she could come out to assess Tilley and help us understand whether it was time. From that first conversation I knew we were in safe hands. When Tine came to our home, she assessed Tilley with care and sensitivity. There was no rush or pressure, just calm reassurance. When it became clear it was time, she supported us every step of the way. Before that moment, we gave Tilley her favourite treat, rice pudding, which she had loved since she was a puppy. She had the biggest bowl and lapped it up with pure happiness, along with her birthday treats. It meant everything to give her a peaceful and loving send off. I tried to write this after losing Tilley, but grief made it impossible. In February this year we faced another heartbreaking goodbye with our beautiful Wynn, aged 15 years and 7 months, who had Canine Cognitive Dysfunction, dementia. Wynn had missed Tilley deeply, and when her condition declined we again turned to Tine. As before, Tine spoke with us at length before coming out to assess Wynn. She was kind, warm, and compassionate throughout. When she assessed Wynn it was clear she was not going to regain consciousness due to a TIA and complications, and it was time to let her go peacefully. Nothing felt rushed or clinical, and Wynn passed at home surrounded by love and peace. Throughout both experiences it was always Tine who supported us, from first contact to home visits, assessments, guidance, and aftercare. She even contacted our veterinary practice on our behalf, which was a huge help at a very difficult time. We also received a beautiful card after each loss, which meant so much. Grief is deeply individual. For me it has been especially hard as Wynn needed more care later in life, having always been so independent. It was a privilege to care for her, and I would do it all again. The compassion shown made an enormous difference. Our home is quieter now. We miss Tilley and Wynn every day. They were never just pets, they were family, bringing love, comfort, and joy into our lives. How a life ends matters profoundly. Both of our girls were given a peaceful passing at home, surrounded by kindness, love, compassion, and dignity, now reunited over the Rainbow Bridge.š We will be forever grateful for everything you did on both occasions and afterwards. We keep their memories alive every day, talking about them often and remembering their unique personalities. This feels like the end of a very difficult chapter, and in time we hope to welcome another dog into our home and give them the same love. The memories will never fade, and the love we have for them remains as strong as ever.š¾ ā”š¾ š¾ We truly feel Tine is like an angel in disguise doing the work she does. If we could give a million stars, we absolutely would. Her compassion, kindness, and respect meant the world and made an incredibly difficult time feel supported and human.Posted on Bryony SlackTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot thank Paws Over the Rainbow enough for the care, compassion, and dignity they showed during one of the hardest moments weāve ever faced. From the very first phone call, Tine was incredibly caring and informative, immediately putting us at ease. When she arrived and met Vinny, she treated him with such kindness and empathy, as if she had known him for years. She never rushed us and took all the time we needed to feel comfortable before we were ready to say goodbye, which meant more than we can express. After Vinny passed, she gently gave us privacy so we could say our goodbyes alone, something we deeply appreciated. Even in the smallest details, her thoughtfulness shone through. On his final journey to the crematorium, she placed him carefully in a bed in her car and, because it was a sunny day, left the parcel shelf open. We had been telling her how much Vinny loved the sun, and she reassured us that he would be able to lie in the sunlight on his last journey. That simple gesture felt so personal and comforting. A week later, Vinny was returned to us with the same level of care and respect, and shortly after, we received a beautiful card with a personalised note that arrived at exactly the right moment. Before she left with Vinny, she even offered us both a hug, something we didnāt expect but truly needed. We have already recommended her services to a friend going through a similar situation, and we will continue to do so without hesitation. Tine made Vinnyās passing as peaceful and gentle as it could possibly be, and for that, we are forever grateful.Posted on craig shorthouseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great company. Making a horrible day , of loosing my dog Turk , who we had over 16 years more manageable. The process was as smooth as possible. Turk was in no pain at all during the process. Nikki was amazing. We were not rushed, all was done at our pace. Everything was explained. She was compassionate and understanding of our grief. The fact this could be done in the comfort of our home environment has made the process less stressful. We used their services again and couldnāt fault the kind and compassionate care we received from Tine. We had to say goodbye to our brilliant boy, Ted, after he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer at just 5 years old. We were all devastated at how rapidly he became unwell and did not want to go back to the vets to say our goodbyes. Our experience with Paws Over The Rainbow was exactly what we all needed. Tine was beyond kind, compassionate, and knowledgable. Ted left us peacefully in his own home, being cuddled by us all, after finally getting to taste some chocolate! As a family we are all so grateful to Tine for making such a difficult time as peaceful as it could be. We wouldnāt hesitate to recommend her, and wish more people knew it was an option. Thank you so much. ā„ļøPosted on Jade WalkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When we knew it was time to say goodbye to our 22 year old beautiful girl Willow the dread of us taking her to a vet where she hated so much we are so relieved to have come across paws over the rainbow. I can honestly say to have Tine come out to us to put our beloved cat willow to rest in such a peaceful way it meant the world to me that Willow could be at home with us when it happened. Tine remained professional yet caring throughout the entire time. She Sat with me, listened to me, allowed me to cry and get all my emotions out and when it was finally time our beautiful Willow went off peacefully in her sleep. I can't praise paws over the rainbow enough. Knowing Willow went so peacefully at home gives us peace of mind. She's now resting with her brother Archie. Who we will both miss so much. Can not recommend Paws over the rainbow enough. I had contacted Tine on a saturday, I really didn't expect a reply until Monday but the emails went back and forth all over the weekend. The compassion shown through a lot of texts shone through in such a dark time. I know I was at the right place. The day came to say goodbye to my beloved Marely, who had been apart of my little family for 15 years and 8 months he deserved the best and that is exactly what he got. We had the lovely Emily come to our home, she greeted all 3 of my dogs and made them all feel so loved. She was so patient with them, myself and my son. This was our 1st time losing a fur baby, Emily was so kind, thoughtful, explained everything fully, no rush, no clock watching, it was all done at our pace. It was the most beautiful end to such a wonderful life Marley lived. She took great care of Marley even after his passing, bringing a dog bed and a fluffy blanket, he looked so peaceful as if he was asleep. Today, I received a sympathy card from Emily and the veterinary practice Marley was registered at. Such a lovely gesture. I have Marley back home with us all now, in a beautiful casket with his name on. I wouldn't hesitate to contact or recommend paws over the rainbow, a beautiful life Marley had and a truly beautiful send off. Thank you for being the light at a very dark and sad day.
