Paws Over The Rainbow has been a dream since 2021 where our founding vet, Tine Headland, sadly had to euthanise her beloved dog, Tank, due to cancer. Despite being owned by a vet, Tank had never liked visiting the vets, so Tine made sure Tank had a peaceful and dignified passing in his own home surrounded by the people that loved him. Despite the grief the family experienced there was a real relief in knowing Tank felt safe and at home until the very end. Since then it has been a dream of Tine’s to make sure owners have a choice when it is time to say goodbye. She is very passionate about making the final journey as easy on both the pet and the owner as possible.
Tine has been a vet for over 10 years, primarily working in a busy referral hospital. She brings a wealth of clinical experience and is always happy to have an informed, supportive conversation about when the time might be right for you and your pet.
Tine works closely with Laura Scrase and Emily Prince, both of whom continue to work in clinical practice. The three vets have worked together for several years and share the same compassionate approach and high standards when supporting pets and their families through their final journey. As pet owners themselves, Laura and Emily understand that a pet is not just a companion, but a cherished member of the family.
Sarah Bonner, a registered veterinary nurse with more than 18 years of experience, is also part of our team. Over the years, she has seen how much it means to pets and their families to receive gentle and supportive end-of-life care. As a dog owner to the lovely Lottie, Sarah understands on a personal level the deep bond we share with our pets. She is committed to offering comfort, kindness, and reassurance during what can be one of the most difficult times.
